But when Dr. Jan Vandeputte, the driving force behind the Belgian Source line of skin care products, discovered a new way of looking at skin care, a company of the top contributors was formulated in order to share our discoveries with the world.

Jan Vandeputte is a world-renowned scientist with more than 16 years of clinical expertise in wound care. Involved in clinical testing with most of the known wound care products available today, he has been a staple in skin care research at the University of Maastricht for over five years and a lecturer on the medical faculty at all four Flemish Universities (Catholic University of Leuven, Free University of Brussels, University of Antwerp, and University of Gent). The keynote speaker at several International symposiums worldwide, Vandeputte also has more than thirty-two papers published in National and International Medical Journals.

Since 1990 he has been the Chairmen of the CNC (Clinical Nursing Consulting) and in 1998 & 1999 was the organizer of the International Wound Care Forum at Medtrade Europe (Luxembourg). He was also the keynote speaker for the wound care forum at Medtrade, USA, Atlanta. He has recently published a book on wound care and is also a consultant to the Belgian Ministry of Health.
